January Mindful Moments: Intention

Kick off the new year mindfully through a guided intention-setting class. This custom 30-minute virtual offering will include mindfulness exercises and brain health learning to support you in living our best life in 2021 and beyond. This donation-based class is led by Dr. Lisa Coleman and Alexis Ray, MS.

Monday, January 11 • 1:00-1:30pm CST

Suggested donation: $5, but no one will be turned away.

Dr. Lisa Coleman is a certified mindfulness facilitator, 500-hour registered yoga teacher, and English Professor Emeritus at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. A lifelong learner and teacher, Lisa chose mindfulness certification through Mastermind due to its emphasis on neuroscience and the mind-body health benefits accrued through meditation. Lisa’s love of sharing mindfulness and yoga with others arises from the still center of acceptance and non-judgment that both practices share. Lisa is a Dallas-Fort Worth native and holds a BA in French and an MA and PhD in Humanities from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Alexis Ray, MS, RDN, CSSD, LD, RYT is a Registered Dietitian, Certified Mindfulness Facilitator, and Registered Yoga Teacher. A longtime practitioner and advocate of mindful living, Alexis received her certification for science-based mindfulness from Mastermind in 2020. Alexis credits lessons learned on her yoga mat and meditation cushion for supporting her in nurturing relationships with herself and others, and in cultivating a healthy mind and body. Alexis is particularly passionate about mindful eating, which has changed her relationship with food. The more she incorporates mindfulness and mindful eating with her clients, she sees how these transformative practices can impact other people’s lives too. Alexis holds a M.S. in Exercise and Sports Nutrition from Texas Women’s University and a B.S. in Nutritional Science from Texas A&M.
