When we think about being compassionate, we often forget ourselves in the equation! Though we are quick to share a kind word with a friend, it is easiest for us to be harsh and critical toward ourselves. Compassion is the beautiful practice of pairing empathy with action. However, if we are not filling our own cup through kind words and honoring different aspects of ourselves- good and bad, we do ourselves a great disservice. In this workshop, we will cultivate true strength from within by exploring the roots of these negative attitudes toward the self, understanding the science and benefits of self-compassion, and practicing internal kindness.
